Tidying Office Floors-I

When it comes to office furniture, people immediately delve on the idea that it means ergonomic office chairs, office desks and so on—but they neglect the very important part of office furnishing that determines if the environment is a healthy place to work in—the carpet.

Among the common things that you should do when you walk on your office carpet, is to check out if it starts to build up on “Soiling”, or leaving soil particles on the rug and carpet fibers. This, when left unnoticed, will dull the appearance of the carpet and make the soil to only bury itself deeper onto the carpet. A main solution to this would be to vacuum clean the carpet, and let an experienced person do it instead of having someone inexperienced or they may only add more elements to the carpet instead of cleaning them up. A perfectly maintained carpet should be cleaned at lest every 18 months or less, depending on the population of the people in the office.

Bear in mind that the while the carpet seem to be such an insignificant element of the office (mainly because we just walk on it), it should be kept clean because our health depends on it. If the carpet starts to breed some bacteria, then imagine what kind of elements the office is spawning right under your foot. You will be carrying these harmful elements up to your household so think again, before you spread this kind of environment to your family.

Experienced carpet cleaners are knowledgeable in their cleaning aids too so you should not just go on and start rubbing some cleaning agents on to the carpet to avoid from fading the color of the carpet, or so. But here is a tip: most professionals use hot water extraction or steam cleaning. This has long been proven to be effective. Other methods include the use of other common cleaning methods such as the absorbent pad or bonnet cleaning, rotary shampoo, and dry foam or powder.
