The “Used” Gives more than the New
Basically, protagonists are weighed not on how big their offices are, but usually on the fixtures, amenities, furniture and other high-end office appliances their offices have. Thus, one may tend to out-rightly dispose an otherwise slightly tattered appliance for fear of being branded as low class. Worst, most just throw away good old furniture only because it is outdated or seemingly obsolete.
What we don’t know is that the enormous number of these so called “junky furniture” from establishments, schools, and medical offices nationwide is being dumped into landfills.
Reducing Strain on Our Landfills
According to The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA), approximately half of the scrap currently generated may be ending up in landfills.” Much of this so called “waste” can still serve a purpose.
The good news is, these good old “grandpa furniture” that might go to a landfill can easily be refurbished or remanufactured. Reupholster your panel. Replace a rickety roller on an office chair; bring on some new upholstery and it is as good as new!
Indisputably, restoring these babies would mean conserving loads of raw and virgin materials from our natural resources. Furthermore, this idea can help reduce the strain on our landfills.
Types of Used Office Furniture
More often than not, when people hear of “used office furniture,” they immediately visualize torn and abraded items. Contrary, refurbished office furniture includes those repaired from structural damages and improved exterior. Remanufactured furniture on the other hand are those completely reworked both structurally and aesthetically.
Used Office Furniture Saves Money
Imagine how much money you can set aside or use to other expenditures? Almost 90% of the original price will be washed away when you purchase these used office furniture.
Why pester your pockets for buying glamorous furniture? Be practical! Buying the “used” is just like making a good deal with the environment and most especially to your wallet.
