The Colors Of Office Furniture-II

This is a little trivia to what colors may signify:

* Colour Positive Negative
* White Clean, innocent, pure Cold, empty, sterile
* Red Strong, brave, passionate Dangerous, aggressive, domineering
* Yellow Happy, friendly, optimistic Cowardly, annoying, brash
* Brown Warm, earthy, mature Dirty, sad, cheap
* Green Natural, tranquil, relaxing Jealous, inexperienced, greedy
* Blue Strong, trustworthy.

It has been carefully studied that certain colors are able to give certain emotions on customers and clients in a certain office. Whether they are the color of the walls or the color of the matching office furnitures, it all plays an undermining role in the psychology of a person. Hence, be careful when it comes to mix and matching of the colors. According to research, many employers use a green color scheme in the office, because this has been proven to result in less absenteeism. Apparently, one football team in the United States painted the visiting team’s locker room in pink, having learned it could reduce aggression!

Thinking about the atmosphere to create is also an important element to choosing the color schemes in the workplace and with office furniture. To create a quiet, calm and reflective mood, the best schemes are cool colors under cool fluorescent lighting, where spaces can appear larger and cooler and reduce noise. Just as well, if the goal is to motivate, energize and activate the team, then use warmer colors under warmer lighting, where the spaces can feel smaller and the noises a bit louder

for those who admit to lack in creativity and art background, choosing a color scheme for the office may indeed appear to be such an arduous task. One may be tempted to think that color is not important in an office environment because a lot of conventional offices were obviously designed with that thinking in mind. However, neutral colors such as gray can have a detrimental effect to employees, being linked to negative emotions such as sadness, grief and boredom according to some studies. So choose the more appropriate colors in the office to achieve the appropriate effect.
