Ten Tips to Great Office Furniture – Part 5

Salespeople are usually juggling among many customers, and their allegiance is to those customers who they think will buy something (customers buying something = more commission for them). After all, why would someone who earns his/her paycheck from commissions devote attention to someone who is simply there to browse and not make an immediate sale? Unfortunately for all, buying furniture is a lot like buying a car in this instance; the people there to “help” you are really just trying to sell you something.

Remember this, don’t get ripped off. If you want certain information on something, the Internet provides archives and archives of articles about office furniture. As one has often said before, “everything you need is online, you just don’t know how to find it”. The solution here is to scour in search engines and type in just about the right keyword.

9. Not Remembering to Measure the Areas Where Furniture Will Be Brought Through During Delivery

It’s all too common of a scenario. An executive office desk getting banged up unable to fit into the door. This has happened to a lot of people wherein a sectional was delivered and the delivery people could not squeeze it through the front door. The result of this non-attention to measure are the scratch and lacerations on the wall and floor. How unfortunate it is to see your brand new furniture get slowly beaten as delivery guys shove it inside a room where it just won’t fit.

Avoid the chances of this happening to you. Measurement saves everybody time and effort. Carefully plan ahead of time and measure the size of the entry including the walls the lead up to the area where you would like the piece to be placed.
