Steelcase Inc. is Skyrocketing

Steelcase Inc., a company that creates designs and makes furniture and technology products, announced the declaration of a quarterly cash profit allocation of $0.15 per share to be given to its stockholders on or before July 16, 2007. The Board of Directors also granted the company’s share repurchase addendum by $100 million.

Founded in 1912 and headquartered in Grand Rapids , Michigan , Steelcase is a global leader when it comes to office furniture. It provides and designs innovative products in North America and other locations all over the world. They offer a variety of products from file cabinets, bins and shelves for storage to office chairs and office desks, wood or non-wood, for all types of businesses. They also offer an array of textiles and upholstery, drapes, panel fabrics and even tables whether for cafes or for conferences. In addition, it also provides interior architecture products and infrastructure products like beams, walls and doors, and power cabling.



Further more, the company also engages in services like strategy consultation and furniture and asset management. Currently, it serves customers through various channels, 900 independent dealer locations and approximately 13,000 employees worldwide that sell directly to end users. Steelcase was recognized by Fast 50 magazine’s as one of the “Fast 50″ for changing the face of business.

Steelcase Inc. currently has a collective of $17.5 million which was a part of a prior share repurchase authorization. To date, Steelcase outstanding shares are founded to be approximately 144.3 million. This is to show that the company is is a leader in financial standings as well. The increase in their share repurchase authorization has yielded their influence on how they would distribute the firms stocks between reinvestments and returning value for their shareholders.

The program however is still dependent on both regulatory and market considerations and will be practised from time to time. The shares may be repurchased through initial public offerings on the open market or private transactions.
