Pearlman’s Furniture sings Bye Bye Bye – Part 1

Lou Pearlman was once a proud executive producer that was responsible making millions and millions of girls around the world scream to the top of their lungs. Today, remnants of a former giant in the music industry is being auctioned off to the public due to bankruptcy.

Bidders fight to acquire Pearlman’s office furnitures and equipment. Several vans, a boat and thousands of CDs, posters and awards from ‘NSync, the Backstreet Boys, O-Town, C Note, Aaron Carter, Brooke Hogan and other artists were also up for grabs.

About 400 bidders who made up of mostly bargain hunters, resellers, memorabilia collectors, young women who grew up idolizing the boy bands and curious onlookers flocked to the Orlando headquarters which was considered as the breeding ground for pop stars in the late 90’s. People probed the producer’s chair, paperweights, drawers and admired the line-up of gold and platinum records hanging on the walls.

Among the prized items is Backstreet Boys’ Everybody platinum album sold at $450. Executive office furnitures like the elaborately carved Seven Seas desk and the La-Z-Boy which was Pearlman’s personal chair also garnered the day’s highest bidders.

Gold and platinum boy band albums were going from $60 to $2,200 which disappointed fans who were actually looking for bargains.

Tom Vravis will be taking home the best of Pearlman’s executive office furniture with him. He paid $5000 for expensive items such as executive desks, credenza, hutch, entertainment center and office chairs. On the other hand, Tom Yuelling of Orlando bought a gold sofa, love seat and chairs for his daughter for about $1,050.

Kissimme native Tom Beas got the 5-piece Chihuly glass for $18,000. “I’m after the Chihuly glass and if they’d sell the tiles in the ceiling (of Pearlman’s office), I’d buy them too.
