Office Furniture for Women

Today, office furniture manufacturers continue to increase their production of office furniture for women as they see the number of women who are running small businesses remains to grow.

According to Associated Press, many of the companies that retail and manufacture office furniture have started to offer furnishings that are tailored to fit women’s smaller frames as well as women’s preferences and behavior when it comes to choosing and using office furnishings.

Kim Roffey, a strategist at Kurt Salmon Associates, told the news that men and women have different needs and demands when it comes to office furniture. While men are looking for more functionality, women, on the other hand, are more concerned with the style of the office furniture that they use.

She used an office chair as an example to compare the different views of men and women. Men would be more likely prefer an office chair based on its features and functions such as back support as well as arm rest for more comfort. Contrary, women appreciate an office chair based on aesthetics and how this office furniture looks in a room.

According to findings, women tend to like stylish office furniture that has lots of room for storage of purse and other items. This is because women see the office furniture as an extension of their image.
