Some people might find doing small modifications with the way office furniture and equipments in a daily work schedule tedious, but believe it or not, there are claims that it helps employees become happier and healthier hence, becoming more productive.

Using various ways to utilize office furniture and equipments could be used to improve workers’ welfare. Being able to know how to use these things properly avoids accidents and prevents possible muscle pains such as stiff necks or lower back pains.



Here are some tips on how to position or use office furniture better:

* Position your laptop or computer monitor properly so that the screen would be at the same level with your eyes.
* Adjust the height of the chair so that your knees are perfectly squared with the floor and are not too bent.
* Adjust the lumbar support of the chair so that your back is properly resting and not resisting against the curve of your backbone.
* Office furniture must be placed where it is not blocking any window to avoid blocking the view (if the window oversees outside the building).
* Your computer monitor should not be facing the window or any light source. This can cause distraction while you work since light can be reflected to the screen, hence the difficulty of viewing the things on the screen.

Another factor that scientist are considering is the contribution to office air pollution by printers. A group of scientists have discovered that printers cause some sort of indoor air pollutions that cause certain ill effects on workers.

A group of office furniture and interior designing experts also found out that office layout and positioning of office furniture make an impact on the heath of the staff. Affecting their mood with what they see is a big plus factor if the office furniture and the way that they are positioned would affect the staff in a positive way, making them more productive and less tired.
