MidCity gets Ingenious Interior Designer
J Suzan Ben has been a prominent interior designer and educator locally for over 20 years. Her background includes interior design, space planning and education as a instructor at Villa Maria College. Today, Kurt Amico, President of MidCity Office Furniture announced that the company has acquired J Suzan’s valuable interior design services.
“Our clients are no longer looking for products- they are looking for a complete solution, they want us to create a highly functional workplace that is very aesthetically pleasing” says Amico. “J Suzan brings both of these objectives to the forefront.”
Interior design is the process of shaping the experience of interior space, through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as surface treatment. Not to be confused with interior decoration, interior design draws on aspects of environmental psychology, architecture and product design in addition to traditional decoration. An interior designer is a person who is considered a professional in the field of interior design or one who designs interiors as part of their job. Interior design is a creative practice that analyzes programmatic information, establishes a conceptual direction, refines the design direction, and produces graphic communication and construction documents. This principle is what exactly MidCity wants to heighten with their production.
With over 20 years experience, J Susan Ben will prove to be a great addition to MidCity Office. The interior design instructor at the College of Villa Maria is an expert when it comes to space planning and the arrangement of furniture like office desks, chairs, cabinets among many others. She has also been the contract designer for numerous projects such as space planning for Buffalo State student union, their box office and performing arts offices and for Belmont Shelter, an assisted living facility. J Suzan has an AAS in Interior Design from Villa Maria and a BBA in Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
