How to Set Up a New Office-I

Moving on to start up your very own office? After figuring out all the needed office furniture and the right motif to match your business, do not think that the job is done. There are many other things that you should consider before you place your feet up on the office desk with hands above your head. Do not wiggle out the office furniture out of its bubble wrap first until you are sure that you have accomplished the following:

Computer equipment. The computer, together with all its peripherals, should be at a close distance to an electrical outlet to avoid the usage of extension cords. It is highly recommended for the computer to have its own electrical circuit so that it will be protected from fluctuations caused by other electrical equipment in the same room. If your office will be using an air con or a heater—which is likely—then be sure to avoid placing the computer on the same electrical circuit as the air con and heater. Make sure that your computer, monitor, printer, and even the phone line that goes into your modem must be plugged into a top-quality surge protector.

Monitor placement. Consider the placement of the computer monitors, and don’t let them be situated in a place where light can bounce off on it. Have lamps positioned specifically on a monitor instead of just one bright overhead ceiling fixture.

Protect your keyboard. A friendly and very helpful way to protect the keyboard is to use an anti-static rubber mat so that you will not get shocked by static the next time you touch your keyboard.

Telephone essentials. Consider the telephone very well too, its location, and the kind because it has to reach the person that needs to use it. Try purchasing telephone headsets. This alleviates the neck and the shoulder from unnecessary aches and it allows you to have free hands while talking on the phone.

These are just four tips, there are more to come. But for the mean time, do all these and you will have the dream office in no time.
