The film center should have a list of businesses engaging in carpentry, home and office furniture, props or even hair and make up. The said database has aided a lot of locals who have the goods to make it in the movie industry.

It started about a year ago and is working on how to communicate and interrelate the businesses wanting work and those who provide the products. There are current plans of making a searchable database, a film industry directory which would embody a guide to the local services available in the area for the movie makers. This aims to point the production companies in the right direction giving them information on stage, props, home and office furniture, or even wardrobe. This would serve as a resource guide offering business to businesses.

To ensure security, the listed businesses are required to undergo reference checks. This plan may be available by October and would be limited to the movie industry. This will not be made public for it would involve information that cannot be communicated generally.

This will have to go through a strict reference system. But there are occasions for all types of businesses, whether for companies who specialize in wind and rain machines and lighting or antiques, all the things that may be needed in making a movie, whether it’s for caterers or restaurants who can deliver food to the actual film site, which would eradicate the burden of having the production staff pick up the food at the restaurant or a medical facility who has physicians that can tend to the actors. This guide will cover all local businesses in that area.
