Arranging your Computer Workstation-III
Having the most ergonomic computer workstation is best if you know all the essential elements that will make your place comfortable to work in. For instance, buy ergonomic office furniture that will work for your computer and all its peripherals. Consider a good office desk to suit the needs of your task too, while being able to accommodate the computer. A key here is to note the placement of your computer monitor. Keeping your computer monitor at a certain location in your office desk will leave you with free space to put your other stuff on. But the main concern here, is to keep the monitor at a certain distance to avoid straining the eyes.
The computer should be placed directly in front of you where you can see it, and not angled to the left or to the right. This will immediately help you to avoid straining your neck. Position the monitor at the center so that you will be able to attain a good focus on what you are doing. Remember as well to keep a distance from you and the desk by manipulating your office chair away from the desk. Not much farther though so that you will not be able to feel the stress on your arms. Place the monitor at a comfortable height, although this may depend on the height of the office desk. But it is ideal to have it placed on a certain height for the same reason that you do not have to strain your neck.
After learning of how to control the office furniture upon which the monitor depends on, it is vital that you know first and foremost the kind of monitor that you will buy. New monitors now come in sleeker designs compared to the tube-like old ones. The sleek LCD monitors may be advantageous as it is able to save up on office desk surface space. Hence, place the monitor properly and avail ideal office furniture that will enhance your productivity in your computer station.
