Amish Office Furniture Store is Expanding

Mostly known form their plain dress and limited use of modern conveniences such as automobiles and electricity. The Amish separate themselves from mainstream society for religious reasons. They do not join the military, they draw no Social Security, nor do they accept any form of financial assistance from the government, and many avoid insurance.

However, when it comes to commerce, the modern Amish society is known for their prudent and reasonable way of conducting business. Amish stores and establishment are fast emerging in different cities while most of them becoming quite successful. Take for example this Amish office furniture company.

Holz Haus, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will be acquiring a bigger space for their expanding store. Located at the renovated Randall Foods building, the furniture store presently resides in a 17,000 square feet office which was opened about a year ago. Now, about 10,000 square feet will be added to their building space as more products will be released.

Platinum Dreams, a division of Claire Bedding, is a mattress line to be the added to the store’s offerings. Chuck Vockler, an owner of the family-run business, said that the store will offer more office products, including office desks and conference tables. The conference tables can be custom-made with logos or etchings, he said. The expansion has already started and is targeted to be complete at around mid-August.

Holz Haus is just one Amish endeavor that signifies the progressive goal of the Amish people. Not only that they significantly produce high quality products but they also incorporate the values and standards that made them the devoted people that they are.
