About Panel Systems

How would you know if your office needs a panel system? It has been made prevalent that panel systems have been widely incorporated in the offices to create certain divisions compared to the traditional “bull pen” office set-up. They have gained popularity as a very efficient office furniture in creating office boundaries too. With the panels, an employee can just as easily enjoy his privacy and concentrate more on his individual tasks.

The panel systems are basically ideal for offices that have large open spaces which need to be divided into separate work areas or cubicles through the use of “moveable walls”. The panel systems are perfect for growing businesses because the panels can be reconfigured in many ways to create different sizes that will fit a small space or a large one.

Here are the main features that will help you decide if the panel systems are indeed what you need for the office:

-The panels should be approximately 2” thick and about 61” wide and 60” high. Choose sturdy steel frames are coated with scratch-resistant, powder-coated gray paint and a color-coordinated woven fabric covering in muted shades of gray.

-They should have the capability to be used as basic office partitions or combined with a connecting hardware to create cubicles of various sizes. Panels that have bottom alignment plates and connectors can be easily installed.

-The fabric should be “tackable”, so clips and hooks can be attached for hanging items on the cubicle walls. Most fabric is polyester and treated with a stain-resistant coating.

-Look for acoustical panels designed to absorb up to 30% of office noise to create a quieter office environment.

-Hinged 6” cover on bottom of panel neatly conceals electrical components and cables. Some panels feature cable management systems to keep computer, telephone, and other equipment cords separated and orderly.

Consider all these factors so that you could make up your mind about whether or not you need a panel system. But just a friendly word of advice, the panel systems are the greatest innovations of the office furniture industry. It means that they were created to make life easier for the employee, so think it over.
