What’s in an Office Chair – Part 1

Most of the people today spend a lot of their time working, whether it is in front of a computer or behind a draft table, they tend to engulf themselves with extended labor. In a very challenging and fast paced environment, some work even require office employees to continue doing their work in overtime. The office suddenly becomes a second home with the office chair the only piece of furniture to provide comfort. The only problem to consider is that not all office chairs are very comfortable. Actually, many of them gives what is the exact opposite.

How many hours do you spend just sitting in front of your computer typing all day? It is not easy sitting in front of your office desk for long hours, especially when there’s a deadline to meet. Being in the same position for a long time, most of us would complain about having back and shoulder pains. You may notice that in these cases, our office chair plays an important role in our everyday work life. They have to be as comfortable and durable as can be. Such adequate qualities help its user be productive without having too much to complain about body pains.

Office chairs also give an indirect impression about a particular company on about how they take care of their employees. In fact, it is not just the office chairs but with office furniture in general. It reflects the company’s fixation on their workforce and shows a certain image to its visitors, existing and prospective clients alike. Imagine a company that is using old furniture or broken chairs in the workplace. These are in other words uncomfortable and not conducive for working types of furniture. Despite the company having good financial background, these essential elements would resemble a stagnant and lax work environment. Another thing is that it also goes to show that this company does not value the importance of its employees and human resource.
