The Good in Office Chairs-I

Since office employees are most likely to get stuck on their office chairs, it is best for them to learn how to achieve ergonomics with the office chair. An ergonomics specialist at Cornell University says that a healthy 20-year-old could sit on a block of concrete and still be fine, but we all know that this joke is not readily appropriate to everyone. Due to this, the experts have come out with their very helpful tips for us to learn more about the good in office chairs, and just how they will work in the office.

According to ergonomics expert and industrial designers, it has been somewhat confusing to distinguish between health and hype due to the confused trends in office chairs nowadays. Hence, it is a must for one to consult an ergonomics expert when it comes to choosing the right office chairs.

The ideal office chair should have: dynamic movement, allowing the user to slightly recline when needed; adequate support from the lower back to the shoulder blades at least; whether the users can adjust the height while they are seated on the office chair. Other important elements include avoiding any compression on the back of the knees, and a very comfortable support for the pelvis hence, the ideal office chair must be well-designed that they have active controls and are intuitive.

According to experts, there are two reasons why it is possible for us to end up with the wrong office chair. This is because people immediately choose chairs after testing them for a few minutes, or because they got too mesmerized by the appearance. It is not to say that beautiful chairs are not ergonomic, it is just that, there should be something more than the chair’s beauty too.

So the next time you look for a good office chair, try considering out these factors first before you go ahead and buy one.
