The Different Types of Office Chairs

There are four different types of the office chair, and they vary to the type of work that is being required of it, and the capacity of the chair to support. For every office requirement there will surely be something that will fit your workspace needs, so read on and find out what is yours.

The Ergonomic and Task Chairs. Task chairs have become ideal because it caters to individuals who have to spend large amounts of time seated and focused on their daily tasks. The task or operator chairs are highly ergonomic for its easy adjustable features and ample body support structure.


The Manager or Executive Chairs. The managerial or executive office seating is specifically designed to give long hours of comfort to the manager. This chair will also serve solely for the owner or the boss, and is notably more aesthetically enhanced compared to other normal office chairs. Although the manager or executive chair may not come in as flexible as the other chairs because it does not have adjustable features; they bank on their knee-tilt mechanisms. They usually come in leather covers to add to the illusion of being more classy.

The Conference Chairs. For meetings or presentations that require a number of people to participate, the conference chairs are ideal for this activity. The conference chairs now come in different styles and design so that it could be good enough for both the guest and the other participants. But try variations when it comes to the conference room, because implementing a mix of task, managerial or conference chairs will do you good too.

The Visitor or Reception Chairs. The visitor seating or side chairs come with a sled base, acting like a four-legged chair without casters. The reception chairs often function as a comfortable chair during short periods of time, or in a waiting area. These chairs are designed to complement the executive and the task chairs and they can be available with or without arms.
