(Office Chairs Sitting Atop China-III) A Good Start for Ergonor
Three major Office Furniture makers are happy to be sitting atop the Chinese industry. Remarkably, one of them is actually a neophyte in the business.
F.Z. Xiao, the senior manager of the fastest growing office furniture maker in the Chinese market has analyzed that the company was able to land a substantial number of orders for the new series during their debut in Guangzhou OA Office Furniture Fair in March this year. The company then started to ship the products overseas in May at a monthly volume of 70-100 containers, with 70% of its office chairs being patronized by North American and European customers.
Xiao was quick to state that Ergonor adopts an advanced technology to be able to provide samples so that the company was immediately able to secure orders from several major North American clients before building materials for the new series. This was able to make their business attain a smooth-sail especially in cost-efficiency.
“Our R&D team can realize any executive idea into reality. Usually, the company launches at least one or two new series every year. And I am talking about brand-new products, including components and accessories,” Xiao proudly says about his team in an interview.
Ergonor is known for its cutting-edge production technologies, design concepts that are comparable to European and US counterparts but with a competitive pricing. These has given the company a sizable global edge. Backed by professional sample production skills and shop drawing capacity, the company even aspires to become a design house for US and European furniture makers, according to Xiao.
Ergonor Office Furniture Co., Ltd. is a Taiwanese-invested firm, specializing in production and sales of office chairs. Although it is just a year old (established in April 2006), the company has turned in a remarkable performance record. The company recently rolled out a series of office chairs with the popular net backing likely inspired by Herman Miller, including deluxe executive chairs, deluxe office chairs, guest chairs, reception chairs, training chairs, and auto-return chairs.
