Office chairs are an essential furniture in the office work place. For the rest of the day, an office employee spends most of the work hours sitting on an office chair, behind a computer or a pile of paperwork. Sometimes during work, you even tend to release stress or lighten the burden of your job by twirling and twisting your chair to different positions. These are somehow everyday routines.
Our office chair reflects a lot about our work, about what we do, and about our personality as well. As an individual occupying it we tend to expect a lot from our chair, like holding our weight, being comfortable on it, and helping us finish our work. So we tend to be choosy when it comes to office chairs, or office furniture for that matter. We want it to be stylish yet sturdy and snug. We want it to be unique and we want it to carry our own style. That is why a lot of office furniture suppliers and retailers have custom designed chairs tailor fit to suit the customers’ preferences.
Our office chair says something about us. It reflects our image, our status achievement and authority. One can tell if you are an entry level office worker or a manager or even an executive officer. An office chair indicates what kind of work one is engaged it, the nature of the job and the tasks of the individual using it whether they belong to the lower, middle or upper level office worker.
These office chairs have classifications according to the way it was made, like the materials used to create it or the size of the chair and what kind of office is it appropriate for. It can be classified into five, the operator or task chairs, executive fabric office chair, reclining chairs, executive office chairs and visitor chairs.
