Recreating the Reception Area-I
If your office is a battlefield, then the reception area is undoubtedly the front line of the army. The reception area gives the very first impression to the company—it could either attract clients or discourage them to come back again. This is where good ties are born, so everything must be in perfect accordance with the company’s goals.
According to an office furniture retailer, colorful, bold paintwork and modern furniture gives the idea that the company is forward-thinking, innovative, and fun. On the other hand, traditional and classic walls can project the image of conservatism, reliability, and respect. So before you go on designing the reception area, make sure to outline all the impressions that you would want for the company first.
Next, would be to choose the kind of office furnitures that are to be placed there—most especially the reception desks. The reception desks are not—should not just be similar to all the other office desks in the workplace. The reception desks are especially crafted desks to make guests feel wanted and not intimidated, and at the same time the lovely receptionist should be able to match the warm accommodating feel of the area.
Reception desks come in different colors and with different materials to be made of—even the shapes and the sizes. Office furniture designers have created a lot of impressive reception desks in the market today so it is not really hard to find one that will work best for your office. Of course the budget is still important to consider, but do not forget that sacrificing good quality reception desks goes along with sacrificing the company’s image too. Put yourself in the shoes of your prospected clients. Do you want the company to be seen as someone who gets the job done just for the sake of getting it done, or someone who gets the job done with obvious flair and passion?
If you want to go for the latter, then recreate your reception area with the right office furnitures that are enough to state your company’s values and philosophies. It might not be as adamant, but the fruits of the reception area’s impression always leads to the contract-signings in the conference room.
