Swag-leg furniture relaunched
Herman Miller again presented the swag-leg furniture with hopes that it will be reintrodued. It was noted that the swag-leg was launched nearly a half century ago but was not able to click at that time.
George Nelson designed desk and chairs with swag-legs and these lineups were lauched in 1958. Swagging is a process that uses pressure to taper and curve a metal tube.
Gregg VanderKooi, product manager of Herman Miller’s classic lines, described the furniture as “ahead of their time.”
