Michalsens Office Furniture bought the aboned building from Northwest Bank of Rockford for a million dollars, while its building in Loves Park was sold to the bank for $400,000 which also happens to be the selling price.
The owner of the famous office furniture store, Jim Michalsen, said his growing business needs the additional space of the 68,000-square-foot Rev’d Up building that it purchased. In the next 60 days, Michalsen said he hopes to have the move to Machesney Park complete. Records show the sale closed June 28.
“We moved here (in Loves Park) six years ago, but we outgrew this in almost three years… mainly because of Internet sales,” Michalsen said in an interview.
