All you see or feel under the work station would be one log tube and you can just push it against the wall, all the cords are protected inside.
Another technique to keep the cord out of the way is by using the corner part of the office desk as a place to put all the cords. This is called the corner desk technique and it will work better if the corner area is situated or faced away from the areas where there’s always human traffic, or if it can hide unsightly cords keep them out of reach.
Some office furniture pieces even have pull up flaps. This is a special compartment that is hidden inside a desktop. This special drawer will allow you to roll up the excess cables in a bundle and leave it in that compartment. With only the wires you actually need coming out on the desktop you can organize it neatly and hook it up to your local network and power source. read more

While it is very important that your work area is conducive for getting the job done and promoting the quality of work, it is equally important to focus your attention on the furniture that will be placed in areas where visitors go to like the lobby or reception area. These furniture are the first things that a visitor, whether clients or business partners, will notice and will give them a first impression on the company.
The office furniture in the lobby, the reception desk for example, should be well-decorated and comfortable to give that cozy feel. Power source is another important thing, we need to make sure to have uninterrupted power supply system (UPS) to deal with power outages. You never know when there will be one and you could easily lose important documents or reports thus, it is safe to back up files. Also make sure to switch off the devices or equipment as well as the power supply when not in use to prevent over-utilization and short circuit problems.
Make sure your work area does not get in the way of the normal activities at home but still maintains an office environment conducive for work. Gadgets and electronics, like the computer and its components, telephones or fax machines, are necessary when doing business make sure the office furniture you buy can carry these in an organized manner and not cluttering the top of your desk. Make sure cables are out of the way and there are no office supplies scattered in different places specially if you have children at home they can easily swallow items like staples or paper clips. read more
